Place on lower rack of the oven for 5 minutes. Toss, then continue baking until lightly brown, 2-3 mins. Remove from the oven and toss to &#8220;fluffen&#8221; them up a bit. Once cool, they are easy to remove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip: <\/strong>Set a timer! Add a \u00bc cup water so they don&#8217;t burn. You could add saut\u00e9ed onion and garlic, and canned <!-- tasty-links-ignore -->green chilies<!-- \/tasty-links-ignore --> or canned <!-- tasty-links-ignore -->chipotles<!-- \/tasty-links-ignore --> (the <!-- tasty-links-ignore -->adobo sauce<!-- \/tasty-links-ignore --> from the can is especially nice). If using seasoned black beans, no need to drain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 5: Make the slaw. <\/strong>Finely chop or shred the cabbage. Toss in a medium bowl with the rest of the slaw ingredients. Taste and adjust for lime and salt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 6: Slice the avocado. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 7: Assemble. <\/strong>Divide beans among 2-3 bowls. Drizzle onion and potato with a little olive oil and sprinkle generously with spice mix, tossing to coat all sides well. Use about \u00bd or \u2154 of the spice. Place in the oven for 20-30 minutes, tossing halfway through.<\/li>\n<li id=\"instruction-step-5\"><strong>Beans:<\/strong> Heat the seasoned beans in a small pot on the stove ( see notes).<\/li>\n<li id=\"instruction-step-6\"><strong> Slaw:<\/strong> Finely chop or shred the cabbage and place in a medium bowl with the rest of the ingredients, toss. Taste, adjust lime and salt.<\/li>\n<li id=\"instruction-step-7\">Slice the avocado.<\/li>\n<li id=\"instruction-step-8\"><strong>Assemble:<\/strong> When the veggies are fork-tender, assemble the bowls.
